The Supreme Court’s recent historic ruling striking down Section 3 of the discriminatory Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is an enormous victory for loving, married couples and their families, and affirms that they deserve equal treatment under the law.

It has also left countless same-sex couples and families, in Indiana and across the country, asking important questions on what the ruling means for them.  What about legally married same-sex couples living in a state like Indiana that does not respect their marriages?  Is all of DOMA now completely repealed?  Will couples legally married in other states but residing in Indiana receive certain benefits as result of this ruling?  And, what are the movement’s next steps on DOMA?

Our panel of law and policy experts from Lambda Legal will share an overview of the Supreme Court’s June decision, address its broad implications for the equality movement, and discuss what the ruling means in practical terms for couples and families.  Join us for this presentation and an intimate Q&A on what this historic shift means for you and our community!
